The news right now is that Apple has introduced a new M2-powered 15-inch MacBook Air model, which arrived a year after the M2-powered 13-inch MacBook Air with M2 chip. Apple has dropped the price of the 13-inch MacBook Air to $1,099 / £1,149 (was $1,199 / £1,249) and continues to sell the MacBook Air M1 at $999 / £999 starting in 2020.
The new 15-inch model goes on sale June 13. You can pre-order one now from Apple.

There are currently three standard MacBook Air models on sale from Apple. The MacBook Air M1 arrived in November 2020 and two configurations of the 2022 MacBook Air M2 went on sale in July 2022.
The price is as follows:

Where to buy the MacBook Air M2
You can buy a MacBook Air directly from Apple in the US or from Apple UK, but stocks can be low and Apple very rarely drops prices – see Where’s the MacBook Air in stock. You can, however, find a MacBook Air in stock and on sale at any of these retailers. There are plenty of Apple Premium stores and resellers around the world that offer discounts on new and old Macs, so it’s worth shopping around (read our Where to Buy a Mac article for more tips).

Best refurbished MacBook Air deals
The offers you’ll see above are usually from Apple resellers rather than Apple itself – Apple very rarely drops the prices on the Macs it sells. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t save money buying from Apple: if you want a discount on a Mac from Apple, you can buy a refurbished Mac. It’s not just Apple that sells refurbished Macs, but Apple offers great incentives to buy from Apple’s refurbished store, so we recommend you check it out for bargains. Macbook Air. Macs in Apple’s Refurbished Store may be old display stock, or they may have been returned to Apple due to a defect, but are now fully refurbished and backed by a warranty of a year. It’s not like buying used. Learn more about buying a refurbished Mac.
We see MacBook Air M1 models in Apple’s refurbished store from time to time. If none are available when you watch, we recommend checking back in about a month, if you can wait that long.

Amazon also has a Certified Refurbished Store for Apple products, but we don’t recommend buying products over five years old – most of the products we see on Amazon’s Refurbished Store are very old. .
