Best monitors and Mac screens for 2020

It has always been annoying that Apple only offers iMac monitors in two sizes: one for 21 inches and another 27 for professional users.

The Philips 258B6QU screen offers an alternative between the two: high quality 25-inch monitor for less than € 400.

Its 2560×1440 resolution may not be so great, but it's still great for watching videos with high definition, Internet browsing, playing video games or just using Microsoft Word

Starting to use this screen is a little tricky, since the screen, shape and base come in different parts to be marked, and many of the controls and connectors are positioned in a somewhat "complicated" way at the bottom of the screen.

However, the U277PQU is one of the few poets that lets you move and rotate the screen, adjust the height and rotate the screen vertically.

It doesn't have a USB-C port, so you may need an adapter for the latest Mac models, but it includes HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI and even analog VGA connectors for Macs and older computers.

Although the 27-inch S2718H monitor is relatively inexpensive, especially as it has a standard resolution (1920×1080), it still offers excellent image quality, thanks to its HDR compatibility (high resolution range).

This provides a bright and colorful image that looks a lot brighter than one might expect from a low resolution. Works well with watching videos on to broadcast and look at the Internet for a strong contrast that seems to improve detail and color and produce more realistic images.

The monitor is compatible with 99% of Adobe RGB color space, so even if professional users prefer a high resolution screen, the S2718H is still a great way to use it at home and do some editing work. photos, or even use it at work.

The only disappointment is that the 2718H becomes the closest monitor ever when it comes to connecting with other features. It doesn't have a USB hub and is only equipped with HMDI and VGA, so you'll need to buy an adapter to use it with most Mac or iOS devices.

However, the HDR screen is very attractive, and a good option for home or business users who don't want to pay big bucks with 4K or 5K monitoring.

Apple and other companies are increasingly focusing on larger screens, with higher resolution suitable for video editing, graphics or games in 4K.
