Steve Jobs’ contribution to the way the world communicates will once again be recognized!
Next week, Apple co-founder, Steve Jobs will be honored with posthumous recognition, considered the “highest civilian honor” in the United States. It is “Medal of Freedom”which this year will be delivered on July 7, and which Jobs will receive for his role in changing the way the world communicates.
This year, Steve Jobs was selected with 17 recipients more than like him, have made a significant contribution to “the prosperity, values, or security of the United States
The United States recognizes the contribution to prosperity of Steve Jobs
According to the announcement made by the administration of United States President Joe Biden:
“Steve Jobs (died 2011) was co-founder, CEO and Chairman of Apple, Inc., CEO of Pixar, and served in a leadership role at The Walt Disney Company. His vision, imagination and creativity drove to inventions that have changed and continue to change the way the world communicates, as well as transforming the computer, music, film and wireless industries.”
Although it has not been confirmed, she may be the widow of the creator of Apple, Laurene Powell-Jobs, could be the one receiving the recognition. Like Jobs, in this edition, John McCain and Richard Trumka will also receive posthumous tributes during the delivery ceremony.
Jobs founded Apple in April 1976.. During his tenure, Apple released many technology products that became cultural landmarks, including the Mac, iPod, and iPhone. After his death on October 5, 2011, the company has remained true to the spirit of innovation of its co-founder and under exceptional leadership, it has succeeded in becoming one of the most valuable companies in the world.
