Meta AI is the virtual assistant of Mark Zuckerberg’s company. It is a chatbot based on artificial intelligence that allows you to do a lot of things that can be very useful, but at the same time, you may not like seeing that little blue circle on the messaging platform you use every day.
Meta’s Artificial Intelligence is here to stay on WhatsApp. We can use the assistant from one of those little blue circles that appear in the app, or also directly from a chat. We are sorry to tell you that if you don’t like these circles, there is no way to remove them, but we can take some measures to avoid interacting with the AI, if we wish.
All the Ways Meta AI Is Present and How We Can Remove It from Our Conversations
One day, by surprise, it happened: you opened WhatsApp as you would at any time, to resume a conversation or read a new message, and you found lots of little blue circles everywhere. Meta AI has arrived on your WhatsAppand there is no way to remove it.
Meta AI is available in three forms:
- Directly in the search bar at the top of the screen, which has been renewed and now allows you to directly ask something to artificial intelligence, or to carry out a traditional search.
- As a new floating button in the shape of a blue circle, which is located above the button to start a new chat, in the lower right corner.
- And last but not least, like a chat windowas if he were just another contact on our calendar who we can talk to and ask him to do things.
And it is precisely this last option that can be deleted, removing it completely from our chat windows– We can delete the chat window with Meta AI, we no longer need to interact with it. Before deleting this chat, we can also access the window, click on “Meta AI” in the top bar and then on the three-dot button, to empty the chat, in case you have already interacted with the virtual assistant in the past.
In case of groups, any member who has access to Meta AI in their WhatsApp account can summon the chatbot, but the admin can remove it from the group. If you are a group admin, you can ban Meta AI from the member list. You can also ask an administrator to do this, if you wish.
Meta ensures that its chatbot, Meta AI, can only read and answer questions that mention it, and that messages remain protected by end-to-end encryption. Meta AI does not pose any privacy concerns for users, according to the company, but if you still prefer not to interact with this AI, you can completely remove it from your chats. However, the little blue circles will remain there, to remind you that at any time you can ask or re-ask things from Meta AI.
