The analysis company Canalys has launched new iPhone sales estimates for the first half of 2022and the data tells us why Apple isn’t too worried about its impending iPhone 14. The recent Counterpoint study fails.
The iPhone 13, unbeatable against its brothers

From there, we get some interesting data: the top two out of three phones (66%) that are sold and priced above $600 are iPhones. In 2021 that percentage was 62% and in 2020 it was 53%, so Apple wins the segment. prime.
The second fact is that of all the iPhones that are sold, 42% are iPhone 13 units. In second position, the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max are tied, while the iPhone SE retains 12% market share and the iPhone 13 mini grabs only 5% of sales. Here we have the more than likely reason why this size will cease to be sold. The remaining 11% goes to other older iPhone models that are still on sale.
It is curious that even the combined share of the Pro range does not equal the sales of the iPhone 13: the standard model of the phone became the bestseller with a large margin of advantage. The iPhone 14 is set to continue this trend, although the starker differences between it and the iPhone 14 Pro may motivate consumers to spend a little more money. We will see it in the weeks to come.
