MacPawa leading software developer for macOS and iOS, today announced the launch of the open beta of Setapp Mobile, one of the first alternative app stores for iPhone users.
Created by MacPaw, Setapp Mobile offers a new level of flexibility for iPhone users, with the ability to download and manage their favorite apps directly on their devices. Using a unique subscription-based model, Setapp simplifies the user experience and provides developers with fair compensation based on app usage and market performance.
To access Setapp Mobile, users must have iOS 17.4 or later and an Apple ID associated with an EU member state. Existing Setapp subscribers in the EU with the “Power User” and “AI Expert” plans will automatically have access to Setapp Mobile at no additional cost. Users on other plans can upgrade to the “iOS Advanced”, “Power User” or “AI Expert” plans to continue using Setapp Mobile. Users of the previous beta version will no longer have access from September 18.
