In early February, Apple entered a bidding war for the rights to the film CODA, a film that swept the Sundance Film Festival in 2021, winning the Special Jury Prize for Cast, the Director’s Prize, the Audience Prize and the Grand Jury Prize.
This film stars Emilia Jones, and is directed by Siân Heder who has signed a collaboration contract with Apple for all the future projects he has in mind. In addition to Emilia Jones in the cast, there is also Marlee Matlin, Hollywood Academy Oscar

Siân Heder, director of the film, has already worked as a screenwriter at Orange is the new black and collaborated on the script for an episode of little apple for Apple TV +. Heder states that:

CODA release date on Apple TV + It is slated for August 13, although it will previously be released in a limited number of theaters in order to be eligible in the Oscar race in Hollywood.
