ColorOS 12, the personalization layer for Oppo phones is coming. With an expected date of December on the first phones, it will arrive with the intention of looking more like Android 12 and among all the news and improvements it will include a prying eyes warning system.
With Android 12 already available, it is now the manufacturers’ turn to start porting the various models. In the case of Oppo, we already know which phones will be updated with ColorOS 12 to Android 12, phones that can use the notification system that allows us hide information if the mobile detects that it is “spying” on us.
The phone that controls the spy
Oppo introduced in ColorOS 12 an eye-catching alert system to protect us from prying eyes. If until now we could use protections that prevented the screen from being seen from certain angles, now the front camera will take care of warning us and hide sensitive information. In this screenshot, on these lines you can see how it works.

The front camera is assisted by artificial intelligence via the front camera sensor, check if there is someone watching or controlling us over the shoulder. This is to hide sensitive information that may appear on the screen.
The function, which can be activated or deactivated, hide the content of the notification If the system detects that someone other than the user can read the content that appears on the phone screen.
OPPO has already confirmed various series of phones that will receive ColorOS 12 with a start date of December 2021 and debuting on the Oppo Find X3 Pro.
