Design: two different brands with two completely different design lines. Similar in weight, and not exactly light, the iPhone 13 Pro Max continues to bet on the front with a notch that the company launched with the iPhone X while Samsung wants to grab attention with a virtually bezel-less panel, although only with a small hole in the upper central part to house the selfie camera. These are not terminals suitable for lovers of compact mobile phones: they are big and not light at all. This is the price to pay for its giant screens, its batteries, etc.
-
CPU and storage: one of the big complaints of Spanish-European Samsung users is that their Galaxy S smartphones are equipped with Exynos processors, while in other markets around the world they are available with the Snapdragon in use (this usually offers better performance and also longer battery life). In the case of the iPhone 13 Pro Max, the Apple A15 Bionic is the one that brings it to life and iOS is very well optimized to work with it in every aspect. Storage on both devices starts at 128GB, but in the S22 Ultra, that version’s RAM is 8GB. On the 13 Pro Max, it’s still 6GB.
-
cameras: the photographic section is one of the points that manufacturers focus on the most, and in these smartphones is the best of each house. Four rear cameras on the S22 Ultra with a 108 MP main sensor and a 12 MP triple rear camera on the 13 Pro Max
-
Drums: Big plus point for the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Apple managed to make the 4,352 mAh battery last up to 28 hours of video playback per charge. Samsung promises that the battery of the
Samsung Galaxy Note 21The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra lasts all day, although that depends on how you use it. It can be a bit of a hassle if very demanding use is made, as there isn’t that much optimization (or at least it doesn’t feel like that, and the Exynos chips are from Samsung). -
Operating system: iOS versus Android, the point where you probably definitely opt for one or the other. A purported greater sense of security and privacy on the iPhone versus greater freedom, customization and uses on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. The S22 Ultra comes with the One UI customization layer, with exclusive features to get the most out of the device.
-
Productivity: This is a very interesting point and it deserves to be commented on the possibilities offered by the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. This device is the heir to the Note range and comes with the S-stylus, the firm’s popular stylus for writing and drawing with great precision. Sign documents on the go or use it to take photos remotely. It is also DeX, a desktop experience by simply connecting your Samsung smartphone to a wired (via USB-C) or wireless external monitor. It’s like carrying a computer with a Windows or macOS window manager in your pocket.
-
Ecosystem The benefits of the Apple ecosystem are well known, but Samsung has also created its own among mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, wearables and headphones) and computers with Windows operating system, being able to easily share files, open smartphone applications on the computer in full size, etc. And it doesn’t have to be a Samsung laptop; everyone is well
-
Price: iPhone 13 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra from 1,259 euroa very high price that increases especially as we want to increase its internal storage capacity, since it cannot be expanded via micro SD cards, and can also use cloud storage services such as iCloud on the iPhone or Google Drive on the Samsung, for example.
iPhone 13 Pro Max or Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, which one to buy?
Apple and Samsung. iOS and Android. The most powerful of each house. Choosing the iPhone 13 Pro Max or the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, more almost than for the features, it’s more for the operating system, even if Samsung offers very interesting features. If you’re heavily involved in the bitten apple ecosystem, the iPhone is probably the best option. And if you have Samsung devices, use Windows and other Android products, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is the one that will offer the best experience in terms of integration.
