Just a few weeks ago first major Spanish production to reach Apple TV +, Apple’s movies and series service. Little by little, the company is expanding its catalog and we already have more than 50 firsts confirmed for the coming months. And now, the cast of “Now and Then” have just been announced.
Although this is not an official statement from Apple, the information comes to us from Deadline, who always has very good sources within the audiovisual industry.
Apple TV + has created a stellar cast for its bilingual thriller Now and Then, a drama to shoot in Spanish and English.
The confirmed actors of the first Spanish series of Apple TV +
Bamboo productions is the one that produces “Now and Then”, known by other international series such as “Las Chicas del Cable” or “Velvet”. The series will be filmed and set in Miami in English and Spanish. It is described as a Thriller in French which explores the differences between the aspirations of youth and the reality of adulthood.
“The lives of a group of college friends change forever after a party weekend ends with the death of one of them. Today, 20 years have passed and the other five are reluctantly reunited in the face of a threat that endangers their seemingly perfect worlds.“.
These are the actors who will play in the 5 friends and the detectives who will investigate what happened:
- Marina of Tavira She will play Ana, an intelligent and ambitious woman who has suspended her political career to support that of her husband.
- José Maria Yazpik portrays Pedro, a complex politician married to Ana, feeling entangled in a life that is not his own.
- Maribel verdu plays Sofia, a self-taught and tough lawyer whose life took an unexpected turn 20 years ago and is now hiding too many secrets.
- Manolo Cardona It will be Marcos, a passionate surgeon who sacrificed his dreams for his family and friends.
- Soeldad Villamil is Daniela, an introspective artist who constantly struggles to overcome a traumatic event from her past.
- Željko Ivanek He plays Sullivan, a seasoned detective who keeps his partner Flora from having too many problems, always operating on the basis of evidence and logic.
- Rosie Perez is Flora, a talented detective obsessed with an unsolved case from 20 years ago, who will stop at nothing to uncover the truth.
For the moment i know the release date of this new series is unknown, although we still don’t have any reports that he has started filming. So there are still several months to its premiere on Apple TV +.
