How many times have we gone home with the medical prescription without understanding it? Google seems to have the answer, and it will come in the form of a feature for this ever-evolving app.
During an event, the Mountain View giant spoke on this subject announcing a new tool for your visual recognition application. It will help us to understand the writings that we cannot read because of calligraphy, such as “doctor’s handwriting”.
Say goodbye to illegible prescriptions
Over the past few hours, Google released this announcement to the world. And it is that they are working on this tool that will use an artificial intelligence model that will have the complicated task of convert different handwritten texts to digital textespecially those that are unreadable to us.
Google has confirmed that collaborates with pharmacists to develop this feature which will be implemented in Google Lens. Now he will be able to recognize written medical notes. All this was accompanied by a demonstration that we leave just below.
As seen in the video, the collaboration with the pharmacists led them to better understand these prescriptions that, although incomprehensible, they dispensed out of habit, seeing which drugs accompanied the others. In addition experience with these decryption recipes was also a help.
this tool will work like any other in Google Lens, we only have to use the camera of our mobile to be able to read the recipe. In the offered demo, you can check how well the app recognizes text.
As Google indicates, there is still development to be done so We don’t have an official release date.. We also don’t know if it will initially be available in Spanish.
