Remove EXIF information from photos on your Xiaomi mobile
In the latest versions of MIUI, the personalization layer offers the possibility of remove information from photos before sharing on other apps and platforms. You can turn it on when you get the warning before sharing an image, or do it by following these steps:
- Open the Gallery.
- Click on the three dots menu and click on Settings.
- Tap Secure Sharing and check both boxes.
In this section, there are two sections with different functions. The first will allow, by default, location information is removed photos you share. This will make it impossible for you or other apps to know this information, eliminating the ability to create custom location-based albums in Google Photos, for example.
