Disney+ joined Netflix and also announced an increase in the price of the service. Disney’s streaming service will implement a price increase for its subscription plans effective immediately for new subscribers, and will also affect users already subscribed to any of the available plans.
The new prices are now available on the official Disney+ website for Europe. The price increase was between 11% and 17%depending on the packages, since the company increased the subscription price in two of its three packages, only one was saved and maintained the same previous price: the package with advertisements.

The price of the Disney+ Premium package before the new price increase was 11.99 dollars per month, and the Standard package cost 8.99 dollars per month. Then, the new new Disney+ prices after the increase
- Standard plan with ads: 5.99 dollars per month
- Standard package: 9.99 dollars per month or 99.90 dollars per year
- Premium Package: 13.99 dollars per month or 139.90 dollars per year
As we mentioned at the start of this article, the standard package with advertisements maintained its price of around 6 dollars per month, only the packages without advertising were affected by the increase. The Standard plan offers up to 1080p streaming quality on up to two devices and the ability to download content for offline viewing. The Premium plan offers maximum 4K streaming quality on up to four devices and offline downloads.
The price change has already been reflected on the Disney+ website. New subscribers after October 17 will have to pay the new rate. For people who already had an active subscription before the increase, the price change will be reflected in their billing cycle. from November 21 of that same year.
