The smart home is no longer a fad, it is something that is already part of our lives; many of us can no longer live without the benefits of household appliances such as smart air fryers, for example.

But the home is not the only place where these new technologies have the potential to shine, and from today the company Pubinno wants to demonstrate it in Europe, with its latest launch.
The smart beer tap
Pubinno brags a lot about its system, which it describes as “the future of draft beer”. Of course, we don’t blame the reader for doubting this too much, given the simple mechanism of a beer tap. But apparently there was plenty of room for improvement, which many establishments were clamoring for.
The device is called Smart Tap, and it promises to get the perfect pint using Artificial Intelligence; but above all, the main thing is to save money and use a more environmentally friendly solution.
And it is that the main use of this smart tap is to release the right amount of beer and never more than necessary to fill the type of glass we want. According to the manufacturer, the AI system is able to collect data related to the quality of draft beer, and can adapt the flow rate as needed. This is achieved through a robotic mechanism inside, which controls the flow with great precision as well as the right amount of foam for each type of beer.
The screen built into the tap allows the bartender to control these aspects of pouring, including selecting the amount of froth they want, a very important detail when it comes to tasting our beer. In this interface, the system will also display warnings of possible problems, such as the freshness of the beer, the temperature or the pressure, as well as the capacity of the barrel. All of this can be accessed directly from the official app for Android and iPhone.
Does such an advanced system make sense in something that, until now, was done “by eye” by good servers? Perhaps the biggest benefit is that the process is greatly simplified and allows anyone to serve a great pint. But above all, the biggest benefit for the establishment seems to be economic, as Pubinno claims that the tap can generate savings of up to 20% per barrel.
I’m sure a lot of people would want something similar at home, but right now Pubinno seems to be focused on offering this product to businesses and institutions.
