And it started with a bombshell you might not like: Pixel Fold pricing will start at $1,799; it can be expected to be a similar figure in dollars. That’s the price of the 256GB model, available in chalk and charcoal, but there will also be a 512GB, charcoal-only model, for $1,919.

That’s exactly the same price as the Galaxy Z Fold 4 when it launched last year, and that makes sense: the Pixel Fold is expected to use a lot of Samsung components, to the point that it could be a Galaxy Z Fold under another name. and a more “stock Android” experience.

The leaked Pixel Fold
Pre-orders for the Pixel Fold will begin on May 10 through the Google Store, with an expected launch on June 27. As for the device itself, the Pixel Fold will be based on the new Tensor G2 processor already used in the Pixel 7, accompanied by 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The screens are from Samsung, with an interior of 7.6 inches and a resolution of 2208 x 1840 pixels; but when closed it will be a smaller mobile than usual, but with more boxy proportions than the Galaxy Z Fold 4, with a size of 5.8 inches and a resolution of 2092 x 1080. Both screens reach 120 Hz.
The cameras may be the real reason to buy the Pixel Fold and not the Galaxy Z Fold. As with all Pixels, we will be able to use Google’s algorithms to obtain impressive images with all sensors. The main will be 48 Mpx, and will be accompanied by a wide angle of 10.8 Mpx. The telephoto lens stands out, with 5x optical zoom and 20x digital zoom. It will have two selfie cameras, the exterior 9.5MP and the interior 8MP.
None of this data is official, but everything indicates that it will be the ones that will be taught at Google I/O.
