As expected, today Xiaomi launched the new device of the Note range, although at the moment it has only reached the Indian market. In fact, there is little to say about this model, since it is a simple name change.

This is something we see a lot from Redmi, a brand that has different strategies in each market in which it is present. It is very common for their launches to be mobile versions of Xiaomi or Poco, and, sometimes, Redmi itself; this is the case of the model launched today.

The important thing is what it does not bring
If the images and specs of the Redmi Note 11 SE look familiar to you, we don’t blame you. We’re basically up against the same Redmi Note 10S launched last year and so there’s not much to highlight; this model was decent in the mid-range, but almost a year and a half later it has lost a lot of shine, even taking into account that, for the moment, it has not been launched than in India.
Despite everything, the technical characteristics are not bad for a relatively inexpensive mobile, in particular its 6.43-inch AMOLED screen which will stand out from the alternatives which still use LCD panels thanks to the fact that it covers 100% of the range of DCI-P3 colors, something that few people can say in this price range.
Other sections do not stand out so much, such as the Helio G95 processor, which we would expect, which means that this mobile is only compatible with 4G networks, although the inclusion of 6 GB of RAM is striking. In terms of cameras, the front 13 Mpx can give good results, while on the back we find a 64 Mpx sensor accompanied by a classic wide-angle and macro camera.
All that aside, the detail that really sets the Redmi Note 11 SE apart is, ironically, what it doesn’t have: a charger. Indeed, Xiaomi has confirmed that this mobile won’t bring power adapter in the boxso only the USB-C cable and the typical case that all mobiles from the manufacturer bring will be included.

It’s a controversial decision, especially in this price range where the charger can mean a considerable increase in the final price. Perhaps for this reason, Xiaomi has tried to calm things down by offering an offer: when buying this Note 11 SE in certain stores, it will be possible to obtain a separate charger, with a 60% discount per compared to the usual price.
At the moment there are no official plans to bring the Redmi Note 11 SE to Europe, and more importantly, Xiaomi has not yet specified whether Redmi will include the charger in future models in this market. In India, the Redmi Note 11 SE will cost Rs 13,499, or around 169 dollars.
