2022 has been a pretty good year for new Apple products, but according to Mark Gurman of Bloombergcould end more discreetly.
Instead of having a fall event full of new Macs and iPads, Apple might decide to just announce the products quietly and through various press releases.
Do not mistake yourself. The products that Apple could launch this fall (14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max, Mac mini with M2 and M2 Pro, and iPad Pro with M2) are very interesting in themselves. But without an event and without a Mac Pro, this is not the way to end this year 2022 that we expected.
But there’s always next year, and Gurman says 2023 could be a big year for Apple. Yes, it’s something we’ve heard before, but 2023 could be one of those memorable and legendary years, like 1984, 1998, and 2007.
These are all the new Apple products we could see in 2023.
Mixed reality headsets
The much talked about augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR, or what is often referred to as “mixed reality”) headsets could finally be a reality as soon as next year.
The latest rumors say it could be called Apple Reality, though those speculations about how it will be built and run have changed drastically over the years.
The most recent rumors say it will have 8K screens, over a dozen cameras and an M2 processor.
Whatever it is called and how it works, it will be the product that will make 2023 a landmark year for Apple. It’s not just an accessory Materialbut from a new platform.
While other companies have made headphones before (some of them betting on the future), Apple is known for introducing innovations and doing a better job of executing them.
Possible release: WWDC June 2023
Mac Pro
A new Mac Pro with Apple Silicon was due to arrive this year, ending Intel’s two-year transition to Apple chips.
But after bringing it forward during the presentation of the Mac Studio last March, it seems that Apple will push back its launch until 2023.
Maybe it’s down to typical supply chain issues, or maybe Apple decided to take the time to re-evaluate the Mac Pro lineup and get it right. You might want to wait to give it great importance.
Whatever the reasons, the launch of the Apple Watch Ultra reminds us that extremely high-end products are for Apple to show off what it’s capable of.
It’s probably the least-known product arriving in 2023, so all eyes are on Apple’s new workstation. Will you have an M3 UltraFused? Will it support PCIe cards? Will it be a tower or a sphere?
Whatever the new Mac Pro is, it will be the last Mac made for years to come.
Possible release: WWDC June 2023
15″ MacBook Air
Rumors of the arrival of a larger MacBook Air began circulating last year, indicating a possible launch before the end of 2022. That seems less likely now that Mark Gurman has reported that Apple has delayed its launch until ‘in 2023.
While it’s interesting to see what form this laptop will take, it’ll also be important to see what it means for the rest of Apple’s laptop lineup. Will this finally mean the end of the 13-inch MacBook Pro?
Possible release: spring 2023
HomePod with display
2023 will see the birth of a new product and updates to Apple’s main product lines. To all this, how about adding the resurrection of other products?
Apple could bring back the HomePod, although rumors about it are rare. It’ll likely be a speaker like the original HomePod and a dramatic redesign with a screen.
There have also been rumors of a HomePod which could be like the Amazon Echo Show, a hybrid device which would combine a speaker and an iPad and could be used as a mobile controller, FaceTime station, digital access kiosk and Moreover.
Gurman has previously claimed that this device won’t be revealed until 2024, but it looks like an ideal product for next year’s holiday season.
Possible release: End of 2023
iPad Pro 14″
No new-sized iPad Pro has been released since the 12.9-inch iPad Pro arrived in 2015. That will be until 2023, when Mark Gurman thinks Apple will launch a 14-inch iPad Pro. Thus, Apple would maintain the product philosophy that it has lately: “bigger, better”.
This new size will be more suitable for users “used to a 16-inch MacBook Pro”, according to rumors, and we hope that Apple has some surprises in store for this larger screen.
Possible release: spring 2023

Let’s be realistic. Helmets? Mac Pro? pffft! This is what will really matter in 2023. It will surely be the last season of the series, which was originally scheduled for 2022.
Several production delays and some controversies have delayed the series until 2023. Its premiere will be a good way to balance out Apple’s year.
Possible premiere: spring 2023
