The final version of Android 13 arrived a few days ago on the first devices, but not all the new things have arrived. Some of the features of the new version of the operating system will arrive soon in future updates, surely with the launch of new devices.
Next, we will review the five upcoming Android 13 features to Google devices and other devices in a future minor update.
Unified Search in Pixel Launcher
During Android 13 betathem Google Pixel were able to test out the new unified search engine in the app launcher, a feature that to many’s surprise disappeared in the final version of Android 13. Google has confirmed that in an upcoming update, the unified search will officially arrive at pixel launcher so that users through the app drawer finder can also see among your results the sites and not just apps, contacts or settings.
Security and privacy settings
Another feature that was announced in Android 13 and which did not come in the release of the new version is the new section of security and privacy. Currently, the Security and Privacy sections are separated in the system settings, but Google will unify them into a single section, adding integration with Google Play Protect to scan our device.
Messaging apps
In the very near future, with Android 13 and Chrome OS, we will be able to chat from our Chromebook. Android 13 will cast our messaging app to your computer screen so you can use the mobile app on your Chromebook.
Send Clipboard to Chromebook
To improve the integration of Chrome OS, Android 13 thanks to Nearby Sharing will allow us to send our clipboard to our Chromebook. We can copy a text or an image from the mobile and be able to paste it on the Chromebook.
Android 13 for tablets
Finally, in the next few months, Google will release the version of Android 13 for tablets with its improved taskbar with its new app drawer that further tightens multitasking and split-screen app usage.
