Spam calls have long been a constant nuisance for many people. It is assumed that we would stop suffering from this serious problem thanks to the changes made to the General Telecommunications Law, but even though it is true that spam calls have decreased, we continue to receive them, even several a week.
We can report unwanted calls, but we can also follow some tips to stop receiving them. Specifically, Former phone operator gives very useful advice that you can follow to stop receiving sales calls: ignoring them is not enough.
Instead of ignoring unwanted calls, it is advisable to respond to the request to stop calling.
Many of us, when we receive commercial calls or calls from unknown numbers that our mobile call filter identifies as spam, ignore this call. This is an understandable decision, given the number of unwanted calls we can receive each week: a report from Hiya assures that In Europe, an average of 10 spam calls are received each monthmore than in any other country in Europe.
Although there are measures such as registering on the Robinson list, we can also act in this direction. According to Eléonore Bounhiol, a French woman who worked as a teleoperator, the solution is to answer the call and demand that they remove our phone number from the calling company’s business contact list.
The former telephone operator said in an interview that it is not enough to ignore the call, because “as long as the person does not answer, your number will remain on the automatic callback list.” On the other hand, if we directly and explicitly request that our number be removed from the business contact list, they must follow our instructions because they are required by law.
Instead of ignoring, the best solution might be to tell the telemarketer that we are not interested in their product or service and that ask them directly to stop calling you back and to delete your contact number
On the other hand, you can also follow other tricks, such as taking advantage of the Google filter to identify these calls and Block these numbers so they can’t call you backin addition to restricting calls from unknown numbers, although it should be remembered that this measure can prevent us from receiving an important call from a number we have not saved.
