Fortnite has been absent from the App Store since being removed in the summer of 2020, sparking war between Epic Games and Apple. Now, the popular Battle Royale game will return to iPhone and iPad through the browser. And it is that Nvidia is preparing a version of Fortnite for streaming in Safari with its GeForce NOW service.
Fortnite returns to the iPhone, in streaming form
On August 13, 2020, Fortnite was no longer available on the App Store. The program is limited and designed for mobile phones, it will offer touch controls to play Fortnite from Android and Safari.
Selected players will be able to play fortnite from your iphone free. The beta program will begin at the end of January according to the company, although the duration is unknown. An open and official release date has not been announced for the rest of the players.
The debate on streaming games is still open, with rules in the App Store that have been changed to accommodate them but that many companies consider insufficient. Apple has designated Safari as the alternative route for these platforms (apart from the App Store rules and commission), but obviously its impact and reach to the public will not be the same.
