The reason for this article is not so much to talk about the price of the Tesla Model Y, which dropped a few days ago, but about its financing.
Tesla cuts funding for Tesla Model Y
Tesla is in a moment of change, moving from a brand that makes a lot of money per unit sold to one that makes less but is able to sell a lot more.
For that, it needs buyers, people who see it’s viable to buy a Tesla, for which it has begun aggressively lowering prices.
However, it is not just lower prices that are key, but also interest in financing, as not many people in Europe buy a car outright.
Tesla already had much lower financing than the competition, around 6.25% instead of the 7, 8 and 9% of other brands.
In fact, I already told you that I bought the Tesla Model Y with an offer with which they had 4.75% financing, well below the 7.95% of KIA, the 7.5% of Renault or 9.25% fat.
Well now, and temporarily until between April 21 and June 30, 2023, financing interest is 3.99%. This can mean a saving of almost 10% on the monthly payment during the time we pay for the car compared to the previous interest.
Only for two models of Tesla Model Y
This preferential interest, as Tesla states on its website, only applies to pre-July deliveries, but there is one model that does not fit, although it is a Model Y , the Performance.
It’s like that, preferred interest is only for Tesla Model Y Long Range and Model Y Rear Wheel Drivethe cheapest in its catalog, which makes sense since Tesla gives facilities to those looking for cars at a lower price.
