Gboard’s clipboard suggestion feature is a useful feature by letting you fill in information with just one click. The keyboard improves this function now to extract important information of a complete text, avoiding having to copy and paste everything.

When you copy text containing information such as a phone number, email address or address from a web page, Gboard will extract this information and place it as a separate option in the suggestion area. This will allow that if we want to copy only this data, it is possible.
Thanks to these users they won’t have to copy an entire text then extract the phone number or email address, thus allowing much more efficient use of the keyboard on our Android phones. This feature was officially launched in June for the Google Pixel.
Google is starting to roll out this feature for Gboard on more phones, at least in its beta with the number 10.8.06. At the moment, this new option is not shown in the stable version of the well-known keyboard, but it surely won’t take too long to arrive.
A change that promises to help better use the Google Keyboard on Android phones, and thankfully won’t be limited to Pixel phones. We hope that in a few weeks it will arrive stably.
