Google’s AI is none other than Gemini, we already know that it will be deployed by the services of the Mountain View firm, thus making them more intelligent. It will even be used to detect scams in spam calls. In Europe, the Android application arrived relatively recently, allowing it to replace the classic Google Assistant on any smartphone.
The next stage of Gemini is integrate into Google Mail, that is, in Gmail. We won’t have to wait too long for that: Google itself has announced the deployment of artificial intelligence summaries, which will begin to appear both in the messaging application and on the web.
Gmail with Gemini, for now
Gemini is now available on Android. Through its application we access the renewed assistant. However, this is not the only way in which it is present on our mobile: extensions allow it to access any corner of the Google suite of services.
That it was going to reach Gmail was something announced – and demonstrated, it must be said – but it had yet to land on a large scale other than a few select users. It’s over, since the Mountain View firm revealed on its blog the arrival of Gemini for workspace users.
In addition to adding chat-like responses and a button to unsubscribe from the mailing lists that flood our inbox, AI is integrated into both the website and the Gmail app. From now on, we will say goodbye to endless batches of emails: the summary view will give us the highlights.

The date chosen for the start of the deployment was yesterday, June 24, so in the coming days it will continue to spread both on the web and in the application for Android and iOS. When available in your account, you will see the AI button in your email threads, as well as in the side panel if you are accessing from the web.
