And without knowing the large number of related surprises that await us during the next Google I/O, the company has just evolved a large part of its current models. Even the plans revolutionize Gmail including Gemini.
Step by step, and new thing after new thing, Google is improving its generative Artificial Intelligence to try to regain ground in the face of the tremendous acceleration achieved by its main rival, Open AI. And Gemini is of vital importance in Google’s strategy, since the company has put all its efforts into building a multi-modal strategy to face whatever ChatGPT entails with the best weapons. The chatbot duel is a battle almost to the death.
Google specializes its generative AI in images and audio
With a recent event focused on cloud and AI capabilities, Google revealed all the new features aimed at its customers, especially business customers. Because Workspace has attracted a lot of attention, although not everything is professional AI, Android users will also benefit from Gemini’s qualitative and functional leap.
Google continues to improve its core generative AI engines, including Imagen2, for creating graphic content, and Gemini Pro 1.5, the middle language model (of the three that Gemini has). According to the company, increase generation and interpretation capabilities; Apart from the fact that new features are being introduced to ensure that content suitable for chatbots has greater scale.
New Google AI features include:
- Image2 gains the ability to create Gifs. Additionally, Google will include an invisible watermark to identify AI-created content.
- Gemini Pro 1.5 now analyzes audio content. Apart from text and images, the chatbot can identify any portion of sound without needing to transcribe it into text. This allows, for example, to summarize a call. Or an interview.
- Google AI now creates videos: Google Vids is born
- Gemini comes to Gmail. The leap that Google is preparing will soon be here: Gemini templates will land in the email client so that creating new emails will be a matter of asking. Additionally, Gmail will integrate voice commands.
As usual, all this news related to Artificial Intelligence will gradually reach users. It will first be Google Workspaces subscribers who will benefit, then they will land on services intended for individuals. Gemini will come to Gmail only for Google One subscribers, also in the mobile app.
