For some time now, if you've seen an email about a flight, hotel reservations or other purchases on the Gmail website, it would show you summary and most important data at the top of the email. This functionality is now accessible to the Gmail app.

The next time you check an email in Gmail for details about a flight or receipt, you may see the card at the top summarizes the most important data. Right now they're showing up Flight reservations and purchases on Google Play
In the case of flight booking, card includes travel, arrival time and arrival, flight time and confirmation number. For orders on Google Play, the concept, total value and link to see all the details are included.
These cards shown are automatically expanded, though you can reduce them
