Apart from handwriting, the ability to display our notes, add documents, photos or documents, GoodNotes has a central idea: textbooks. With this simple idea, you are sent as a substitute for paper books.
Texts, Search and Favorites
The app, conceptually, is simplified. In tab Documents This is where we store brochures, folders, photos, photos, etc. The tab Search it allows us to search for any text in the previous tab and our handwritten notes, a unique feature. The tab FavoritesFinally, it allows us to save pages, documents or folders for quick access.
As effective as the last two tabs are, they cover a few secrets, so we will focus first of them: Texts.
Text, weaver's wardrobe
Starting from version 5 of the GoodNotes tab Documents allows us to save, in addition to traditional boots, folders, photos, scan documents, photos and quick notes.
Quick notes, which we can create by tapping the "+" button twice will help short entry. We can, in settings, set the default look of these notes to suit our interests.
For photos, we can take from the same application or import Pictures, we can add annotations, statistics and text. Analytics documents, which can be multiple pages, offer similar options. Folders define themselves. And now we have the main idea and concept of GoodNotes: Quotes.
The booklet, something very close to the paperback
When creating a new brochure we can customize the size, shape, type of paper, cover image, and, put a name on it. The options provided by the app are quite generous, or the option to customize the covers over the default can be attractive. Within the paper options, in addition to their color, the app gives us patterns of stripes, columns, squares, blank, musical sticks, etc.
As soon as we create the pad, its functionality is very simple. We start from a one-page notebook, and as we need them, a simple two-finger gesture from right to left allows us to add more. Within each sheet we can use handwritten text, typed text, colors, drawings, pictures, shapes, etc.. All editing options are summarized in the top bar where, in addition, each of the tools shows the color, size, filler selection and each of them.
Pencil, Cloud and universal shopping
Among the various attributes of GoodNotes we find a full support for Apple Pencil which allows us to convert tools into simple action. In addition, thanks to iCloud, all of our content will be synced securely across all of our devices.
As for universal purchases, on the 15th, GoodNotes updated its app to allow it. Thanks to this program, if we have already purchased an iPhone or iPad app we can automatically get it on our Mac, without having to go in the box again.
GoodNotes, especially when used in conjunction with the Apple Pencil on our iPad, is the closest position to the book boots. And when I talk about replacements, the best thing to do is to clarify that, in addition to setting up a place for yourself, it improves itself, expands itself and offers new opportunities.
