Google Authenticator is great
As far as design change goes, it's not such a big change a facelift. The top bar color disappears, the Google logo becomes more color-coded and the accounts are further divided to enter more without scrolling.
Besides, the app navigation stays the same, and the new layout applies to all the clear themes too a dark theme, which already existed in the previous version of Google Authenticator.
Send and import accounts
However, the most exciting change is not the design, but the opportunities transfer and import your accounts. Available from the options menu, with this setting you can choose which accounts you want to uninstall and generate a QR code.
You can't save this code, but the idea is to use it another mobile with Google Authenticator for QR code scanning and importing accounts. This way, you can easily carry an ID in two steps from one cell phone to another, without having to manually enter all accounts.
This new one is available to everyone version 5.1 of Google Authenticator. The update should get to you sometime via Google Play, though you can always download the APK in places like APKMirror.
