For almost two years, Google Maps has allowed us to send messages to businesses thanks to the integration with Google Business Messages (the alternative to WhatsApp Business). From company files we can discuss to resolve our doubts and / or make reservations.
Since the start of this year, users have sent twice as many messages to businesses from their business profiles, and to encourage users and businesses to use Google Maps messages
Businesses can send messages from the Google Maps app
Until now, verified companies who enabled messages in their messages tab, they had to use the web or the Google My Business app to be able to receive and reply to messages, but as of today that changes.
Businesses can now chat directly with your customers from the Google Maps application. In the “News> Messages” tab, you will now have sections with personal messages and company messages.
In the section of personal messages will be the messages that the person as a customer has sent to other companies (sent with his personal profile). In the messages section of the company will be the messages you have received on your company profile. Companies will be able to have all of their messages sent as customers and messages sent as companies in the same app.
Send messages from messages
To make it easier for customers to get more information, Google Maps will integrate the “Messages” button in publications. So if we see the post of an offer or a new product, we can send a message from said post so that it will be attached and the owner will know better what our query is.
Also, another new thing is that if we call a business and the owner does not answer the call, Google Maps may suggest sending us a message to do our chat consultation.
