Google Pay continues to grow in Spain, and since the introduction of ING Direct, the standard payment system for Android phones and watches has added new features to the system. As of now, Bankinter and Carrefour Pass users are now using their cards in Google's mobile payment system.
Google Pay is expanding into parallel banks: now with Bankinter, Carrefour PASS
Mobile payments are becoming more and more common in our day to day, and many more are those who choose to leave their money or credit card and pay over the phone. For apps like iOS, the only way to go is through Apple Pay, but on Android we have more freedom for mobile payment systems, being able to pay directly through the banking app.
An additional amount of Google Pay to be able to use with Wear OS watches.
That has made Google Pay's approval slower than expected, but the platform is slowly gaining concessions, and in recent weeks Bankinter and Carrefour PASS (the latest card to Samsung Pay) have been added as payment methods, as we have gone through the 30 available banks.
To use Google Pay you need a compatible debit or credit card, as well as an Android mobile or Wear OS watch with NFC connectivity.
