Widgets are coming to Google Photos

The widget itself is available in three sizes: 2 × 2, 4 × 2 and 4 × 4. In each of these elements, the content adapted to the chosen size will be previewed. Without a doubt, the larger 4 × 4 is the perfect one if you have an iPhone from the ‘Pro’ range because it takes advantage of the full width of the screen and the result is extraordinary.

To add the new widget to your home screen, follow these steps:

  1. Update Google Photos on the App Store.
  2. Make sure you have iOS 14 on your iPhone.
  3. Enter the edit mode of the home screen and click on the ‘+’ at the top right of the screen.
  4. Select Google Photos from all the available apps and select the size you want for the widget.
  5. Locate the item in the location you prefer on any screens you have on your iPhone.
