The Google store was updated a few days ago to radically change its design on its desktop version. Today we get another change, but in this case it is designed for Android mobiles, and it is also a functional change, not an aesthetic one. It is the possibility of seeing if an application is compatible with a specific device, from which we consult it, without having to install it first. It is something particularly comfortable for those who have several mobiles or different Android devices.

How to see if an application is compatible with our device

The change has been made to the application and game files, and to verify that a program can be used correctly on a device, just open the file and go to the section called Application Information.

There we will have a lot of information, such as the description, the version or the last date the developer updated it. The new section is called Support for active devices

and tells us if we can use it on the mobile we are using at that time.

Por ejemplo, al realizar la búsqueda de la aplicación de Tesla se nos indica que es compatible con nuestro móvil Samsung. Si buscamos la aplicación Button Mapper

se nos marcará como compatible no sólo en el teléfono, sino también en el televisor. En este caso se queda fuera el reloj, porque no podemos instalarla ahí. Si buscamos Spotify nos dirá que es compatible con el reloj y con el teléfono, pero no con el televisor.

Para tener en cuenta si una app es compatible o no debemos tener el dispositivo vinculado con nuestra cuenta de Google y haberlo usado en los últimos 30 días.
