Google has changed its plans. Instead of devoting almost all of its efforts to software and services, the giant will now focus on selling Pixel devices to fight Apple.

Accordingly, the Pixel range will be expanded over the next few months, and among the new devices there will be a foldable mobile that could accelerate a sector that has so far few contenders: Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo and few others.
The Pixel Fold appears in the images
Has been FrontPageTech who released the most detailed images yet of Google’s first foldable, and for good reason. These are not actually actual photographs, but computer rendered images based on the leak the take received. Therefore, it is quite possible that the final device will have some differences, as is often the case with iPhones that leak in this way, for example.
That doesn’t mean there isn’t a fair amount of interesting information about this device. For starters, even though the Pixel Fold will be foldable, will keep design lines of its “brothers”, including the set of cameras and the general shape of the back and the edges; Obviously, it cannot be identical due to the characteristics of a foldable, but it will still be a “Pixel”.
Second, Google opted for a foldable dual screen, with a conventionally sized external panel that will be what we use when we want to quickly access the functions of the mobile; and a larger flexible internal panel that will be ideal for multitasking and video applications. In other words, it’s the same design as Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold, and that’s no coincidence; It is very likely that the Korean manufacturer is the supplier of much of the hardware for this device, just as it was with normal Pixels.
The Pixel Fold would only be available in two colors, or at least these are the only ones that have leaked: black or white. It would be a high-end device, and it would be too expensive for most people: $1,799.
Therefore, it would compete more with the aforementioned Galaxy Z Fold than with more “cheap” foldable phones like the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2. This is striking, as this would be the first time that Google would really enter the premium market; Until now, Pixels have been a notch below price, serving as the entry point to Android for many users.
This model would have a very different philosophy from the rest of Pixel. Sure, it will have the latest photography advancements of the Pixel 7 Pro but also, sources say it will be a heavy device, without the cheap plastic feel of other mobiles. Therefore, we can assume that you will be using more expensive materials, possibly ceramic.
The Pixel Fold is reportedly hitting the market next month from May 2023so there is still time to know more about the device.
