In addition to many software novelties and the new Pixel 6a, Google presented other hardware novelties, such as the Pixel Buds Pronew premium headphones that start at a reasonable price, despite that: $199.
This announcement, totally unexpected since there have not been many leaks of these, clearly shows that Google has once again bet on hardware. In fact, it’s doing it more than ever, with confirmation that in the coming months we’ll see not only these headphones, but also a tablet, new mobiles and its first watch.
A Pro helmet that does not leave aside the color
It’s quite curious that Google essentially kept the same design as in the Pixel Buds and Pixel Buds A but gave its Pro model different color variants. Normally brands do the opposite.
In this case we see how, in addition to the design of the headphones, the shape of the charging case is maintained, contained in the size and with its USB C port and with the pairing button.
A silence pad on the headphones
This new product will have active noise cancellation, how could it be otherwise at this point. In addition, it will have a six-core audio processor capable of creating what Google has called “Silent Seal”, a seal of silence.
It promises a very good isolation experience, we’ll see if it’s able to keep the experience up to expectations.
In addition, an air passage technology is maintained that prevents the ears from clogging up like when we dive, which in theory worsens the isolation, but which Google said it corrected with algorithms and software.
Transparency mode and wireless charging
In addition to all of the above, Google has confirmed that there will be a transparency mode, something its previous models didn’t have and which is currently in high demand, especially if done well.
Finally, we’re supposed to have wireless charging, seen in the original model, but it’s not something Google specifically mentioned. Again, it would be weird if it didn’t offer it because there are headphones that cost less than half that include it.
But the best thing is its battery, which Google says will last 7 hours with active noise cancellation and 11 without. It will be necessary to verify the volume at which these figures are correct.
Spatial sound has also been confirmed, but it will come in a software update later this year, not at launch.
Price and availability
As with the Pixel 6a, these headphones will initially go on sale in the US starting July 21. The price will be $199although in this country taxes are never included in the advertised sale price.
The colors available will be black, coral, lime green and white.
