Gurman suggests Apple is still considering launching its own TV

Apple TV

We’ve been hearing for some time that Apple is working on a new product coming out next year focused on home automation technology. It would be a smart screen that they have already named HomePad which would have software halfway between tvOS and watchOS and would allow users to interact with it through the integration of Siri and its Apple Intelligence functions. However, Mark Gurman goes even further and assures that if Apple succeeds with this product They could launch their own television

Apple brand in the years to come.

A real Apple TV? : Gurman suggests there are signs of this

We are almost certain that Apple’s smart display will see the light of day in the first half of 2025, a device intended for use at home. This first module will be followed by the launch of another product with a robotic arm and a larger screen as an evolution of the home automation device, as Mark Gurman said last week.

However, Gurman, in his Sunday bulletin, reaffirmed this idea in addition to introducing a new one. Apple could launch its own TV under one premise: that all devices launched focused on home automation work well. The Big Apple launch plan is subject to users’ approach and interests for technologist the houses are high. In fact, Gurman writes it this way in his newsletter:

If the first device breaks down [haciendo referencia a la pantalla inteligente proyectadas para el año que viene], [Apple] You may need to rethink your smart home ambitions once again.

And while Mark Gurman always has high-quality rumors and reports, some people think this is a big blow to Apple’s plans. It’s nothing more than a strategy to get visits. Especially taking into account two important points: the first of them is that the market share of Apple TVs (currently) is sufficient and, secondly, trying to sell televisions by selling Apple Vision Pro as a home cinema …would be something absurd, as 9to5mac commented.
