Apple’s fight to reduce leaks from its products has intensified over the past two years and is already starting to pay off. Finally, and after months of investigation, the authorities managed to Identify and stop hackers responsible for leaking MacBook Pro schematics Last year.
According to information shared by MacRumors, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said it arrested 14 members of “REvil”, an organized crime syndicate that used malware to extort money from businesses.
Hackers fall after MacBook Pro leaks

After the effort of several governments and the capture of the members of the hacker group, the Russian authorities have confirmed that “REvil” ceased to exist and its information infrastructure was neutralized. REvil funds have been seized of 25 addresses in Russia, constituting more than 5.5 million in cryptocurrencies, cash, cars and equipment.
