Just three days before the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked celebration, there are already real photos of some of the devices that will be showcased; Let’s say that Samsung couldn’t stop the leaks, because there are already people who have cellphones in their hands.

In this case it was @noh_tech and Twitter which was the first to show real photos of the new Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the new Galaxy Z Fold 4, revealing some of the changes brought by the new generation (but not many).
The same goes for the new Samsung folding
Indeed, as we suspected, the new Samsung foldables are very similar to the above, to the point that it can be difficult to distinguish them from the third generation. This is particularly noticeable in the Galaxy Z Flip 4, the flip phone that opens to offer a full-size screen.
At first glance, it’s doubtful anyone can tell it apart from the Galaxy Z Flip 3 unless you look closely or have the two phones side by side. There are differences, of course, especially around the edges where you see a new metallic finish, but otherwise they’re identical.
Instead, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 looks a little different from the Galaxy Z Fold 3. It looks like the outer screen is different, a little wider and therefore with a more familiar proportion. Recall that the Fold 3 had a very tall and thin outer screen, a technical limitation rather than a conscious decision on Samsung’s part; everything indicates that the company has managed to break with this limitation, judging by the photos published. Another detail that differentiates the Fold 4 from its predecessor is the central hinge, which now looks smaller.
But what you might really be wondering is if Samsung has managed to solve the big problem with foldable phones: the central crease that forms on the flexible screen after a few uses.
In early foldables this was a real problem, as the screen tends to rise in the hinge area, creating a noticeable ‘bulge’ both to the touch and to the eye, seriously affecting the experience. With the latest generation, Samsung has already implemented some solutions, but since then we have seen great progress in this regard, such as the Oppo Find N.
Judging by the published photos, everything indicates that these improvements have continued, although Samsung has not been able to completely eliminate the central crease of the screen; It’s still visible in the photos, but luckily it doesn’t seem as bothersome or noticeable. However, until we have the mobile in our hands and can talk to you about it in person, for now it’s best not to speculate.
