Sam Jadallah, head of home services at Apple, announced that he was leaving the company through his LinkedIn profile (via MacRumors). Jadallah joined Apple in February 2019, after working for Microsoft and founding Otto, his own brand of smart locks.
A remarkable contribution and changes on the horizon
At the head of the home division, Jadallah was at the head of HomeKit, a platform that evolves while we are expecting a small big revolution in the sector
It’s a farewell to Apple. I am very grateful for the friendships that will last and the opportunity to shape and create new capacities for individuals and households around the world. As a business executive, investor and entrepreneur, it has been a pleasure to be an entrepreneur within Apple and to create products on a large scale.
Although the reasons for the executive’s departure are unknown, rumors have long been heard of a major change in the division of the house within Apple. Hybrid devices between HomePod mini and iPad, according to Mark Gurman, or continued reference to homeOS, an operating system currently non-existent, in job offers, are the signs.
During Jadallah’s stay at Apple the company evolved HomeKit
For now, it is not known who will replace Jadallah at the head of Apple’s house division. What we do know is that this is an increasingly important division, so we should see a new manager soon and even start to feel changes.
