We have known about the Honor X8 for almost a year and today we are witnessing the launch of a new version called Honor X8a. to be again mid-range terminal with 4G, but it adds some nice improvements.
To see the camera or battery as main novelties why is it Honor X8a. In addition, the price is maintained, at least in the conversion into dollars compared to what it costs in some territories where it can already be purchased.

Repeat design, but its interior has improved
If we talk about the design, apart from the change from the electric blue color to a more celestial blue, this Honor X8a looks a lot like its predecessor. To see the 6.7 inch LCD screenwho bets again FullHD+ and 90Hz resolution a soda.
Already in his brain we see a change in the swap Qualcomm for Mediatek, now being the bet for the Helio G88. This mid-range chip has not been overly welcomed in the range because it is limited to 4G, but we have already seen it in terminals like the Xiaomi Redmi 10 (not to be confused with the Redmi Note 10). It comes with a unique configuration of 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
Another point where it changes is that the battery has improved. It’s not that it’s outrageous, but from the X8’s 4,000 mAh we’ve gone to 4,500mAh on this X8a. And yes, fast charging does not vary, again having a power limit at 22.5W.
There 16 megapixel front camera It looks identical to the previous model, although the same does not happen on the back with a 100 megapixel main (the X8 has 64 megapixels). To this objective is added a 5 and 2 megapixel wide angle and macro respectively.
The slap on the wrist comes from having a software still based on Android 12. And it comes standard with MagicUI 6.1. We do not know if the manufacturer plans to update it to version 7.0 already based on Android 13. We remind you that the Honor X8 is not currently on the schedule to receive this version.
Honor X8a versions and prices
This Honor X8a is currently on presale on the Honor site in the United Kingdom, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates. It is unclear if and when it will reach the global market. For now, it is available in the aforementioned territories in black, silver or blue in the following configuration:
