Apple’s AI platform will be available in iOS 18.1
Apple Intelligence is about to debut on the iPhone, Apple’s artificial intelligence platform will officially launch with the arrival of iOS 18.1, which is now in its fifth beta. But before installing the update, you may need to free up some storage space on your iPhone.
Based on Apple’s requirements, the Apple Intelligence platform is available in iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, all iPhone 16 models, iPads and Macs with M1 chips.

An Apple document included in the latest iOS 18.1 beta details how much storage space Apple Intelligence will require.
In a section titled “Compatible devices” Apple says Apple Intelligence will require 4 GB storage on the iPhone.
Some Apple software updates require up to 10GB of storage, now adding another 4GB. So if you have an iPhone with a few GB of free storage, you might want to consider using an iCloud subscription or transferring content to your Mac.
Apple has not indicated how much storage space is required to use Apple Intelligence on iPad and Mac.
It is not excluded that in the future, with the arrival of new artificial intelligence functions, Apple Intelligence will need more storage space.
