Two years ago, the dark theme arrived on Chrome on our mobile devices to take advantage of one of the new features of Android 10. With this mode, the browser interface becomes dark, like the few websites that currently take supports a dark theme, to be more pleasing to our eyes when we navigate in the dark before falling asleep, so as not to be dazzled by the pristine backgrounds of the sites.
When Google launched the Dark theme in Chrome, he forgot his search engine, which kept appearing in white. Until now. After launching the dark theme last September in the desktop web version of its search engine Google now says dark mode is also available on the mobile web version of Google, but to enjoy your dark theme, we need to activate it manually. We tell you how.
This is how the Google.com dark theme is activated
To activate the theme in the web version of the Google search engine, the first thing to do is to type Google FR O Google.es from the navigation bar or search. Once in the Google search engine, we must click on Menu (☰) to display your navigation menu. There we must in Settings.
Once in the configuration of the search engine, among all its options, we will find the new option Appearance. By default the light theme is activated, but you can choose by default the Dark theme, or activate “Device default option”. With this last option, the dark theme will be activated when we activate it from the quick settings of the device or with the battery saving mode. Once the desired option has been chosen, click on the button to safeguard for the changes to take effect.
Once the dark theme from google.com, the Google search engine will display dark gray tones throughout its interface instead of this radiant white background. All the sections will be displayed in dark colors: search results, news, images, videos, Shopping, etc.
After activation from the configuration of the Dark theme a direct access from the navigation bar of the researcher. So, by pressing the Menu (☰), we can quickly activate or deactivate the dark theme without having to enter the settings.
Google’s dark web theme for mobile is compatible with certain browsers such as Chrome or Microsoft Edge. In other browsers like Firefox, it seems that this new dark theme is not yet supported.
