How to Block Phone Numbers on Android and How to See Which Ones You’ve Already Blocked

How to Block Calls on Android

Let’s get straight to the point, so you can block any phone number using the Google app:

• First method: the fastest. In your recent calls list (the section has the same name), tap and hold the contact or number you want to block. When the pop-up menu appears, tap “Block or mark as spam,” then tap “Block.”

• Second way: You can also tap the three-dot button in the upper right corner, then go to “Settings” > “Blocked Numbers” > “Add Number”. Write the number you want to block in the next text field. If you want to avoid blocking unknown calls, turn on the switch labeled “Unknown”.

How to see numbers you’ve already blocked

Once we know how to block numbers, it is handy to also know how to access the blocked numbers list. This way we can check which ones we have added in the past and, incidentally, we can delete the block if we wish.

To do this, it will be as simple as follow these steps:

• Open the phone app we used.
• Tap the three-dot icon located at the top right of the screen.
• Click on “Settings”. Then about “Blocked numbers”.
• Just below the button to manually add numbers, all previously added numbers will be listed. By pressing the “X” to the right of each one, we will unlock the number in question.
• Confirm the action by pressing “Unlock”.

As we have seen, blocking phone numbers on Android is very simple and intuitive, and accessing the list later is even more so. There are other alternatives in the manufacturers’ applications and those downloaded from the app store, but in this sense, Google makes it easy for us.
