When we change carriers on the iPhone and receive a new SIM card, it’s time to do one of the most important tasks: change or delete the PIN code of the SIM card on the iPhone. It is convenient to do this as soon as you change your SIM card to avoid forgetting it and having a problem later.
Delete or change SIM card PIN on iPhone
I have often come across iPhone users who changed carrier a long time ago and when replacing the SIM card, they kept the default PIN code
It’s because of it, it is advisable to change the PIN code of the SIM card as soon as possible. On the iPhone, just follow these steps:
-
We open the settings and go to mobile data.
-
Click on SIM PIN.
-
We choose Change PIN code.
Here, iOS will ask us for the old PIN code, which came with the new operator card. We introduce it and then we have to put the one we want. Maybe this is the one we’ve always had or another that we remember more easily. With this, the PIN code of the iPhone will be changed (different from the unlock code or password).
If what we want is completely delete the PIN code so that you do not have to enter it
-
We go to Settings> Mobile data> SIM PIN.
-
We deactivate the PIN code.
-
It will ask us to enter the current code before turning it off.
We will have three possibilities to enter the PIN code correctly. So we have to make sure before you get the right. And that’s why it’s handy to have it changed for one you are familiar with, avoiding surprises afterwards.
