The Mac cursor (Apple actually calls it a pointer) is designed with a white outline and black fill. It’s a good combination, making it easy to spot no matter what’s on screen. But man, it’s boring. In earlier versions of macOS, you c annot change the color of the cursor without using a third-party utility. However, this has changed in macOS Monterey.
You can easily change the slider colors to something that’s easier to catch with your eyes or just add a little flair to reflect your personality. The video below shows how it’s done in macOS Monterey, but below you’ll find instructions for Monterey and macOS Ventura.

Accessibility settings

Go to System Preferences (macOS Monterey) or System Settings (macOS Ventura, shown above) and click Accessibility.
Select View

macOS Monterey: In the left column, find the Vision section and select Display.
upcoming macOS: In the main section, find the Vision section and select Display (shown above).
Pointer settings

macOS Monterey: Click on the Needle tab in the right section.
upcoming macOS: Scroll to Needle section (shown above).
Select your colors
Foundry
macOS Monterey and Ventura: Here you will find two parameters, Pointer outline color And Pointer fill color. Click the color swatch button next to each setting and the color selection palette will appear. Select the colors you want. If you want to return to the default white and black, click the Reset button.
Close System Preferences/Settings when you’re done.
