Do you remember all the apps and games you have downloaded from Google Play since using Android devices? How comfortable is this time band just as you have saved dozens of applications, even hundreds; a list of software that has little use beyond serving as a reminder. Want to access the apps list and remove the fingerprint from the ones you don’t need? You can do it from your mobile.
Much like the cookie monster and its need to gobble up more and more cookies, Google loves user data too much. In fact, it records absolutely everything we do in apps if we are logged into our account. The websites we visit, the information we leave along the way, our phones and the applications we have downloaded, among many more information. Despite this huge ton of data, the vast majority can be cleaned; including the list of applications downloaded from Google Play, which accumulates copies that are often easy to forget.
Make Google Play forget apps you don’t want
Keeping the complete list of downloaded applications up to date is very useful when we often change devices and do not want to lose anything along the way. Just go to the said list, check the applications that are not on the new mobile and after a simple selection, Google Play will install them. But what if the experience with an app was so bad that we wanted to banish it from Google’s memory altogether?
In the Google Play application there are many shortcuts to manage everything related to the App Store, with the account and also with the relationship that the user has with family members; always in case they share a family account. In the application library section it is possible to update those already downloaded, install those that the mobile does not yet have and the option that we are looking for, somewhat hidden: clear google play memory. It’s an adjustment you need to know, especially in the face of more than common regrets.
To proceed with deleting the history of apps downloaded from Google Play, simply follow the following process:
- Open your Android app store.
- Click on the circle of your account, at the top right of the screen.
- Enter in “Manage apps and device“.
- Click on the upper “Manage” tab.
- Now display the menu at the top left until leaving “Not installed” checked.
- Google Play will show you the full list of apps that you have already downloaded and no longer have on your mobile. Continue to tag those you wish to clean from your account.
- You’ll see a trash can icon appear in the top right: when you’ve selected the apps you want to remove from your downloads list, click the delete icon.
- Confirm and Google Play will remove the selection from your account: these apps will no longer appear in your personal list.
With the previous process, you will clean your Google Play of apps that you have downloaded one day, you will not delete them from other devices where they are still installed. And remember: once you remove the apps from the list Google Play won’t remember you once had them on your Android. Only clean the ones you don’t want to hear about anymore.
