If you have an Android TV at home, one of the apps you have installed might be Kodi. The popular client for accessing media files both locally and by streaming offers a great versatility and customization ability and a good example of this are the multiple skins we can use.

It is a simple process, but one that many people are not aware of and that is why we are going to see the steps needed to change the appearance of our player and by the way, find some of the most interesting.
How to install themes on Kodi
And is customize Kodi by giving it a new look it’s very easy. We won’t need any external apps or download any additional files, as Kodi itself is the one that offers all the necessary repositories. In fact, modifying the design of Kodi is something that we can achieve with just a few clicks.

At this point, after several tests, you may end up with a collection of skins that you don’t need and want to uninstall. Something very easy that you can do by going on the road “Settings> Additional modules” and in the section “Mis Addons” selection “Appearance” and then on “Skin” you can delete the one you don’t want.
And nothing better than leading by example, and so that you can see the drastic UI changes you can get by changing the skin used in Kodi, I have selected some of the ones that I consider the most interesting. There are a lot more, and you can even install them from external sources. We are undoubtedly before one of the best skins we can find on Kodi. Considering the low weight it offers, it does not require powerful hardware to run it, which makes it ideal for a large number of models. In addition, the interface is very visual and attractive, ideal for televisions and large screens.

It is not as light as the previous one, in fact in models with only hardware we can see a little lag (you can always turn off the music playing in the background). But at the same time, it must be emphasized that is one of those that offers a more attractive interface due to the minimalism of its design.

As the name suggests, this interface imitates the one offered by the famous Apple decoder. With icons known to everyone, it is light in weight and therefore does not offer too many problems to be able to work on almost any TV.

Aura is another development that bet on minimalism and many can remember another skin like Horizon. Based on shortcuts that appear in the upper area of the screen, the rest is occupied by boxes with soft edges that provide access to all functions and additions

In this skin, the design changes and we abandon the horizontal lines of shortcuts to fall a vertical sidebar which offers the possibility of accessing all sections. It’s a pretty clean interface that I didn’t notice pulling too much resources either.
Box
This design simulates that of movie posters which are displayed on the display panel to identify the content. It allows the download of the covers of each film, disc, TV series … as well as any information related to the current multimedia file.
Eminence
At first glance, It looks like we’re in front of an LG or Samsung TV. A skin with a design completely different from the rest that groups all the information from the lower area of the screen in a bar spread across the width. To complete the visual aspect, it offers detailed information about the time and calendar.
Transparency
He’s one of the best I’ve heard of and I have to admit that is one of the most elegant, but in my case he has not finished convincing me, a matter of taste. It might not be as light as the others, but you can try to see what you think.
Xperience 1080
Last on the list but not the least interesting for this. This design is one of the most elegant and I didn’t notice that it slows down the transitions. Again a bet on the horizontal shortcut bar with a center of the screen occupied by all the information boxes.
