The popularity of podcasts is on the rise. Being able to listen to our favorite shows and episodes almost anywhere is essential, and one way to do that is insert a player with the content on our website. Apple added this podcast capability to Apple podcasts a few months ago, so let’s see how to do it.
Find, copy code and paste, it’s easy
Integrating an Apple Podcast player into the web is very easy. We will always do it from marketing section that Apple offers us in particular for podcasts, which also gives us several interesting customization options. Let’s see the steps one by one:
- We entered the Apple Podcast Marketing Tools website.
- In the search box we enter the name of the program or episode we want to insert.
- In the results, we choose between Podcasts to insert the entire program with the latest episodes always updated or Podcast episodes to insert a specific episode.
At this point, we have several options to customize how we will insert the podcast. First come Content link we will find the link in text, ideal if you want to put it in a sentence, without inserting a player.
If what we want is precisely this player, we go to the section Podcast player. Here we can customize the height, width and, by pressing Change option, choose between light and dark colors. Once we have chosen these variables, we simply touch Copy embed to get the code which we will then paste on our website.
In addition to these options, Apple offers us three other great resources to promote our content. In Badges and locks we can get the tag “Listen to it on Apple podcasts”, for which we can choose from several colors, dark, bright, monochrome, etc., and the language of the text. As always, when we have finished choosing we play Copy embed to then paste the code.
In App icon we can just get the Apple Podcasts icon. An icon that automatically takes us to the content. And finally in QR Code we can generate a QR code which, when scanned, open the episode or program on our device
The process is quite simple and, although in general it is recommended to insert the reader directlyThe fact that Apple gives us the rest of the options is also appreciated. Being able to reproduce the content of a podcast on our site is always appreciated by the visitor, but being able to scan a QR code on an Instagram photo or on a printed document is also an interesting system.
It’s clear that podcasts have come to stay, at least for a long time. Granted, many of us will be subscribed to our favorite content, such as Las Charlas de Applesfera, but other times we will want to discover new content, what better way to do that than with these resources?
