Few releases have changed the market as quickly as ChatGPT. OpenAI’s artificial intelligence is able to write any text convincingly, which opens the door to many possibilities.

We don’t say it. ChatGPT has so much potential that even Google is afraid of losing its mind if Microsoft finally integrates it into its Bing search engine. And that’s not the only product it will appear in, and Microsoft has already teased that it will use AI in all of its products like Microsoft 365 (the office suite formerly known as Office).
ChatGPT and Microsoft Word
But you don’t have to wait that long to be able to use this technology in your documents. There are already projects that seek to take advantage of this potential, and the most interesting that we have seen so far is that of Ghostwriter, an extension for Microsoft Word that allows access to ChatGPT so that it writes the documents for us.
This is exactly what we have always dreamed of: that at the push of a button, the documents we had pending are completed by themselves. It’s not magic, and it’s not perfect, but it’s something that until not too long ago was just a fantasy.
Ghostwriter was developed independently and has nothing to do with Microsoft or OpenAI; It’s just an extension that will allow us to access ChatGPT in Word, with a text box in which we must put what we want it to write to us, and some options on the machine learning model that it will use and the length . In fact, it’s not much different from using ChatGPT alone, but it’s more direct and it’s integrated into Word, so the results will appear directly in the document we have open.
To use Ghostwriter, we must first install it. To do this, we open Word and click on “Insert” and “Get add-ons”. A pop-up window will open with the available plugins; Just search for “Ghostwriter” in the search field and install it.
Ghostwriter is not free. We have two payment options: the cheaper one at $10 is limited to two paragraphs and only lets you use one template, while the one at $25 lets you configure the length and offers upgrade support. free day. We will also need a free OpenAI account to be able to use ChatGPT, since the extension will ask us for our unique key to be able to connect to the service.
Until Microsoft integrates ChatGPT directly into its applications, this is the closest thing to an Artificial Intelligence doing the work for us.
