With Shortcuts, born from an acquisition made by the company in the past, it is possible to simplify all kinds of processes with just one button. We can even use the app to personalize the terminal beyond the limits usually imposed by Apple, to create notifications for all kinds of changes.
Shortcuts, the key to creating sound notifications of “battery charged” or “battery low”
Shortcuts, this application which for many goes unnoticed among all those installed by default in our Apple products, it is perhaps the most versatile of all. Precisely because it’s an Apple application, it has access to all kinds of features, and it gives rise to real virguerias. Among them, offering audible warnings to alert changes of state of the phone, on this occasion, of the battery charge.

How to create an automation for iPhone to initiate the notification

- Open the Shortcuts app and navigate to Automation section on the bottom bar.
- Select the + button in the upper right corner to add a new automation.
- Select option “Create a personal automation” to create one intended to run on the iPhone.
- To choose “Battery level” in the list of automation conditions.
- Determine the battery percentage which will launch the prompt and press Next.
- In the action search bar type “Show notification” and select the option that indicates this action.
- Press the arrow which appears after the text “Hello world!” to open the notification options.
- Write a title for the notification and make sure that the “Play sound” option is active.

- Disable the “Confirmation request” option. This is essential, because if you don’t, the iPhone will ask for permission to run the shortcut whenever the condition is met.
- Confirm the creation of the automation by pressing OK.
With these eleven simple steps, we can create sound notifications to let us know about iPhone battery status.
