Disadvantages of installing a beta version of watchOS
Is it worth using a watchOS full of Bugs and errors just to be able to test the latest version of the Apple Watch operating system before everyone else? The drawbacks that we highlight here might indicate that this is not the case.
Worse, if you regret it and want to go back, reinstalling the previous version of watchOS is tricky and you often won’t be able to do it yourself because the instructions aren’t public.
We applaud that Apple has finally made a public version of watchOS, which means you no longer need to sign up for Apple’s Developer Program, which is priced at $ 99 per year.
Personally, we’re not convinced that you have to pay that much money unless you’re an app developer and want to prove that your app will work on the platform. But maybe it’s not worth taking the possible risks just to test, and it’s more convenient to wait for its official premiere.
