Xiaomi recently announced the arrival of MIUI 14, the next version of the personalization layer for its mobiles. While that doesn’t imply that all devices will get Android 13, some will. For better develop the deployment of the latest version of MIUIthe firm has opened the Mi Pilot program.
The Mi Pilot program is testing pre-release or beta of MIUI for many mobiles that will finally receive it. You can subscribe and be the first to enjoy all the newsOf course, it is convenient to give them a cable so that when the final version is released, users do not receive an update with problems.
Join the Mi Pilot program: requirements and how to do it
The Mi Pilot program has been opened, as published by the Chinese firm. When Xiaomi releases a new version of its personalization layer, in this case MIUI 14, they release this program so that interested users can try it out in advance. It should be mentioned that if you join, you agree to receive system updates which may be unstable
In this program we find not only mobile phones, but also some of the latest tablets from the Chinese company such as the Redmi Pad. The list is long and we will see it later, but we expect that it is almost certain that you have a compatible terminal.
To enter the MIUI 14 Mi Pilot we have to meet a series of requirements:
- have a compatible model (the list is at the bottom of this article).
- You must have one Xiaomi account and ID. This identification number is used when registering for the program.
- As we mentioned earlier, you must be prepared to take care of bugs and missing features.
- Possess technical knowledge by the time it ends, reinstall the original ROM from your mobile.
- Be of age.
It’s not that the requirements are very strict so you can almost certainly join without any obstacles. To do this, we must complete this form if you have a Xiaomi or a Redmi, or this other if you have a POCO. The steps to complete it are simple: we will start by accepting some clauses as well as certifying our age, then we will enter the IMEI and our Xiaomi account ID. Finally we will select our model.
To find the IMEI of our mobile we must go to Settings> About phone> All specifications> States, and from there use IMEI 1 (if your phone is Dual SIM it will have two). On the other hand, the Xiaomi account identification number can be found in Settings> Xiaomi account, and we will touch our profile picture to see it.
In the case of POCO mobiles, it is also necessary select ROM region. To do this we go to Settings> About phone> MIUI version. In this section you will see the numbering, for example 13.2.2.0 TLOEUXM. The intermediate letters EU point to the European region so if you have it, choose it.
Mobiles compatible with the MIUI 14 Mi Pilot program
The list is endless, but precisely for this reason a large number of users will be able to join and try the latest MIUI at their terminals. The devices accepted in the Mi Pilot program are:
Xiaomi phones
Redmi devices
SMALL MOBILE
After applying the form, we have to be patient until we get accepted. When we are notified, we will receive the appropriate version like any other OTA update. We’ll be able to update the Mi Pilot program from the phone settings.
